"Faux Gun" is the 2023-2024 calf of CRC-17853 known from observation of mother and calf pair on July 20th, 2024 in Monterey Bay, California, according to Kate Cummings. The name Faux Gun joins this killer whale attack survivor into the infamous Bling Pod, distinguished from their Commander Islands, Russia expat look-alike "Top Gun". She is known to be a female from observation of the genital area on Sep 9th, 2025 in California according to the photos provided by Susan Cheung.
