"Jör" is short for Jörmungandr, a sea monster in Norse mythology that bites it's own tail. Note the bite out of Jör's tail, probably from a killer whale. We believe Jör is a female from a sighting by naturalists on Island Explorer with Island Packers on 6/23/2016, with calf, and photo of hemispherical lobe by naturalist Sanne Bakkers in Cabo March 2020. Also reported with calf "Toa" HW-MN0502270 in May of 2021 in Santa Barbara Channel, CA.
