Known as a male from genetic ID by the OSU Cetacean Conservation and Genomics Lab. According to Glacier Bay National Park biologist Janet Neilson, this is male #1083, born in 1990. They first noted the injury in #1083's left fluke blade in summer 2015. The injury was most likely caused by entanglement in commercial longline gear.
