Eugenia was rescued from an entanglement in November 2025 through collaborative action between mariner Nick Radonski, NOAA, SeaDoc Society, The Whale Museum, and Cascadia Research Collective. Eugenia is a female, known from a sighting with calf by Whale Trust February 2020 and reported with calf on Feb 2nd, 2025 in Maui according to John Coffey. She is a large beast of the sea who will teach all people to love whales :)
