This whale is known from research by Alaska Whale Foundation and known from the Humpback Whales of Southeastern Alaska (SEAK) Humpback Whale Photo ID catalog managed by the University of Alaska Southeast. Known as a male from genetic ID by the OSU Cetacean Conservation and Genomics Lab. Has been sighted in bubble net feeding groups according to Juneau Flukes.
