Head-Banger has an odd habit of emerging from a whale/sea lion feeding group by lifting its head and softly clapping its jaw, possibly to realign baleen. Often does it twice before diving again. This whale also has an interesting curve in its upper jaw (slants downwards). She is known as a female from observation with a calf on May 12th, 2025 in California according to Douglas Croft. Mother of Roxbury.
