"Benko" has been named in honor of Hiroko and Fred Benko, founders of the Condor Express. This whale is the 2024-2025 calf of Blingy (Guerrero) known from observation of mother and calf pair on June 21st, 2025 in California according to Susanne Meyer. She is believed to be a female from observation of the genital area on June 21st, 2025 in California according to photos provided by Austin MacRae.
